EDU Support Blackboard Instructor Tool Guide Tools for (interactive) lecturing FeedbackFruits Interactive Presentation

FeedbackFruits Interactive Presentation

This function of FeedbackFruits allows for built-in interactivity in your presentations. It is a low-barrier solution that avoids having students passively attend your lectures. The tool allows you to collect real-time input from students by asking them to answer questions that are integrated in your slides. An all-in-one solution; no more switching between applications!

Interactive Presentation allows you to share presentations with all your students as if you are all in a regular classroom during an online class. Keep in mind that you will still need to use Blackboard Collaborate to actually give your presentation when online. You can allow students to simultaneously log into your Collaborate session and your presentation by also giving them the FeedbackFruits Presentation Link. Additionally, you can ask several multiple-choice questions about the topics that are being presented.

Step 1: In Nestor, in the content area go to Build Content and select Feedback fruits Interactive Presentation. Give it a title, and press enter. This will create a link which will take you or your students to the online FeedbackFruits (FBF) environment. Once the link is created, click on it to enter the online environment.

Step 2: Once you are in the online environment you will have the option to either watch an instructional video or “get started”. Once you are ready click get started.

Step 3: From here on, the steps are fairly straight forward. At the top of the screen you can give the assignment a title.

Step 4: Upload a presentation or create slides in FbF itself; both are possible. In the settings you can determine who can join the presentation, and to whom and when the questions and answers in your slides will be visible. You can also allow students to ask questions during your presentation.

Step 5: Click on Add interactive questions and choose where in your presentation you would like to add interactive questions. Click on the plus sign and choose between a multiple choice question or an open question. Once you are finished you can invite your students or simply start the presentation, which is done through the button in the top right corner.
