Hybrid exams

Hybrid exams are exams that students take both on campus in the Aletta Jacobs Hall and at home. Hybrid exams are a great option if you want to use the controlled environment of the Aletta Jacobs Hall, but also want to offer your students the option to take the exam at home.

In a hybrid exam scenario, two exams are actually created: one version for the Aletta Jacobs Hall and one for the online students. This type of exam offers advantages in flexibility because you can cater to all students’ needs or last-minute emergencies such as sickness. Do keep in mind, however, that it takes some extra work to create a hybrid exam due to this scenario of creating two versions.

Getting Started with your Hybrid Exam

In order to register your hybrid exam and receive support from the digital testing team, please first contact your faculty’s scheduler. You can find your appropriate person here: Due to limited seats in the A.J. Hall, please contact your scheduler as soon as possible. Once your exam has been scheduled, the Assessment Support Team will contact you as soon as possible. Please note that only scheduled exams will be supported by Assessment Support.

To have an overview of all the steps that are necessary in the exam process, we developed a workflow. This workflow describes all the steps and also provdides instructions. You can find it here.
