Other exam types
On this page you can find some examples of exams that are alternatives to the online or computer-based versions. These types of exams are usually not supported by Team Assessment Support, though in some cases Nestorsupport can provide you some advice with the technical setups for certain options.
Oral Exams
Oral Exams can be conducted in your regular Nestor course with the use of Blackboard Collaborate. Nestorsupport is able to advise you on the set-up if needed nestorsupport@rug.nl 050-36 38282.
24-Hour Exams
24-hour exams take place within the time space of 24 hours. After the exam starts, you have 24 hours to finish and submit it. They can be conducted in your regular Nestor course. However, if you require our support, register the exam with the scheduler at your faculty. Once your exam has been scheduled, the Assessment Support Team will contact you as soon as possible. Please keep in mind that support cannot be offered outside regular exam slots.
Paper-based MC Exams
Paper-based multiple-choice exams are especially useful to test the knowledge of large groups of students at the same time. The following form can be used for these exams:
These exams can be scheduled in the Aletta Jacobs Hall, but since places are limited, please contact your faculty’s scheduler as soon as possible: https://www.rug.nl/education/schedules/contacts
After the exam has finished, the multiple-choice forms can be processed by the Assessment Support Team. They will provide a detailed analysis of your exam in addition to the scores.
To have an overview of all the steps that are necessary in the exam process, we developed a workflow. This workflow describes all the steps and also provdides instructions. You can find it here.
