Using P2Go in Nestor

In order to make lecture recordings and other videos uploaded in P2Go available in a Nestor course, P2Go Items and P2Go Lists can be used. It’s also possible to upload a video yourself to P2Go through Nestor. Instructions for doing so will be discussed here.

Where to find P2go Video/List?

  • P2Go List/Item can be found in any content area. Once you are in a content area you can find the P2Gp List/Item under “Build Content”.

If you are unable to find the P2Go Item or P2Go List options, please make sure that P2Go Item/List is available under “Tool Availability”, which can be found under: “Course Management” → “Customization” → “Tool Availability”.

When to use a P2Go Item or P2Go List?

  • A P2Go Item is used if you want to make a single lecture recording available to students.

  • A P2Go List is used if you want to make all lecture recordings for your course available to students.

Creating a P2Go List

The P2Go List shows all video’s associated with the course (depending on the selected repository). Inside a content area, click Build Content P2Go List. Once you select P2Go List a new page will appear in which you need to fill in a few fields.

  • Information: Title (required) for example ‘Videos’(Students will see this title displayed, all future videos will appear here as well).

  • The Optional Files section can be used to attach files to the list.

  • Media Selection (required):
    Select Repository:

    • ‘Lecture recordings of this course and this year’ to show all videos that are linked to this course from this year.

    • 'Lecture recordings of this course and all years' to show all videos that are linked to this course from all years

    • ‘Educational videos for this course’ to show all videos that are uploaded manually to this course.

After selecting a repository, filter options will appear. Leave the title empty to retrieve all video’s from the repository. Press the search blue button to show a preview of the video’s that will appear in the P2Go List. Additionally, extra filters can be added by pressing the green + button. Only videos which match all filters will be included in the list.

Click submit to create the P2Go List. Once the item is created you can click on it to find all videos in the repository that are linked to the course code.

Creating a P2Go Item

In order to add a single recording to your course, a P2Go item can be used. To make a P2Go item inside a content area, click Build Content P2Go Item. Once you select P2Go item a new page will appear in which you need to fill in a few fields:

  • Information: Title (required) for example ‘Videos’(Students will see this title displayed, all future videos will appear here as well).

  • The Optional Files section can be used to attach files to the list.

  • Media Selection (required):
    Select Repository:

    • Educational videos for this course to show all videos that are linked to this course.

    • With the repository ‘My videos’ you can display all videos uploaded by yourself.

    • Lecture recordings are available through the ‘Lecture recordings of this course and this year’ or ‘Lecture recordings of this course and all years’ repositories.

After selecting a repository, filter options will appear. Leave the title empty to retrieve all video’s from the repository. Press the search blue button to show an overview of the video’s in the repository. Use the radio button to select the video that you want to publish.

Click Submit to create the P2Go Item. Clicking the created P2Go Item will show the published video.
