Student at a Glance Report

In Student At A Glance you can see an overview of a specific students' activity and performance, across different courses. With this report you can take a detailed look at the activities of a student, which might be usefull before a meeting with a student.

Generate the Student at a Glance Report

  1. Go to and login (for details go here ).

  2. Click on "Student At A Glance"

  3. On the next page, select the academic semester you want to generate a report for, enter the last name of the student you wish to find or select the specific student from the 'Student' dropdown menu. Finally,
click on "View Report" to generate the report.

  4. The generated report shows first some general usage statistics for the selected student. This will give you some insight in the activity of the student compared to fellow students who are enrolled in the same
courses as 'your' student is enrolled in. The contact details of the student are also displayed. Below the general statistics, more specific statistics are reported under 'Blackboard Course History'. After each
statistic a green/grey/red arrow is displayed which is explained below:

  5. Under 'Blackboard Course History' you will find very specific statistics for each course the student is enrolled in. Clicking the small black arrows behind the 'Student' (see number 1) headers will sort the table based on that column. This way you can find the courses a student is most or least active in. You can drill down on the statistics which are blue (no. 2 in the screenshot). Clicking these statistics will show you even more details. This way you can even infer usage patterns of students and see when and whether the student has accessed different kinds of content in a session.
