EDU Support Blackboard Instructor Assignments, Assessments & Exams Step 2: Construction of your exam Upload MC questions through Nestor

Upload MC questions through Nestor

It is possible to upload your questions for a (MC) test into Nestor. This is useful when you have a lot of questions, so you won’t have to add the questions one by one.

Format file to upload questions

To upload the questions to Nestor, your file should be a ‘Tab delimited TXT’ file. Every entry should be parted by a Tab. The easiest way to effectuate this is by using an Excel file, add every entry in a new column and save the file as a delimited txt file.

It is also possible to use Google Sheets. Download the file as a Tab-separated values file (TSV extension). Replace the .TSV extension with a .TXT extension.

The file should not exceed more than 500 questions.

Syntax

Each line must have a new question and it is not possible to have a blank line between questions. Don’t include a header in the columns.

1. In the first column of a line you indicate the question type.
